If your referring : To charcot disease of the foot it is very serious. It causes the foot to become "a loose bag of bones" and to collapse. There is really no known cure other than staying off the foot while it is in the "active phase".

Extremely serious: Charcot foot can result in severe destruction and inflammation of foot which if not treated properly can lead to severe disability and even amputaion nin worsst cases. Immediate treatment is needed: especially in acute phase.
