A member asked:

I have ms and had my baclofen increased at night from 20mg to 30mg for night time spasms. two days later i'm experiencing strong spasms in my foot. can this be a result from the med increase? thank you

Unlikely: Oral Baclofen may or may not be useful in pts with chronic ms, and that is often a rationale for the Baclofen pump. It would be very unusual for an increase in dosing to cause worse spasms, and there may be comorbidity problems creating these setbacks. A urinary tract infection or even thrombophlebitis could exacerbate spasticity. Suggest checking for new problems.
