Why dehydrated?: It depends on why you are dehydrated. Have you had a cold? The white coating on the tongue is just due to being dehydrated, not a sign of something else. Push fluids, likely something like g2 or powerade. Get good sleep, eat well, avoid alcohol and drugs. If not improving go see your doctor.

Yes: Dehydration is serious and can kill you if not resolved. Drink more fluids. The white coating on your tongue could be candidiasis ( a fungal infection) and can be treated with appropriate medication. You should have both these problems evaluated by your medical doctor.
