Not that we know of: It helps to use iodized salt, eat a well balanced diet. Get vitamins through fruits and vegetables. Not all patients with hashimotos get nodules, they are just a little more difficult to figure out if they are a serious problem or not when they occur.

Not really: Hashimoto's thyroiditis is an autoimmune disorder of the thyroid gland. Some people with hashimoto's form nodules and some don't. There is no way to prevent the nodules from forming, if they are going to do so.
