MRSA everywhere: To hear the evening news you would think MRSA is a modern plague. It is not. At present it is responsible for a good 75% of the community acquired abscesses I see & with proper treatment they respond well.To be a community acquired problem means these strains are well distributed in public areas as well as in your home. Share your concerns with the Dr but I doubt they would cancel your procedure.

Tell your doc: I would think you'll be fine, but make sure you tell the docs before they do the procedure. While MRSA sounds scary, there are antibiotics that can kill it.
