I had mrsa a 4 weeks ago in my finger had surgery and clyindomisin now i have c.diff and mrsa on mouth how contagious am i and will mrsa be elsewhere?

Contagious: MRSA is difficult to eradicate. It is often cared in your respiratory tract. This can so,regimes be treated by using ointment such as Bactroban in your nasal passages. Repeat swabs should determine if you continue to carry the bacteria. Sometimes other household members or close contacts may also be carriers and should be treated at the same time.

Tough situation!: Be sure to follow cultures with MRSA! One time, it may be sensitive to Sulfa; the next, it may be resistant. Multiple antibiotics may cause C.dif. You are probably contagious. MRSA could be harbored in your nose, so treat that with Bactroban (mupirocin). Resolve the 2 infections before you are intimate with anybody. It may be expensive, but keep checking cultures of nose, mouth, finger & other infected areas.

C. Diff spores: The problem with C diff is it can make spores, or little seeds that persist in the environment. Good to be extra careful not to spread them around in the home environment. You can only get C diff if taking antibiotics, so careful going forward. I wonder if that's a cold sore on ur lip not MRSA. You might still have MRSA colonization in ur nose. Can culture that 2 see. U probably need ID doc 2 help

Mrsa, c. difficile: I would say very contagious for both pathogens. Make sure you are evaluated and treated by an Infectious Disease specialist.
