How long is the pain from renal biopsy meant to last?

Hours to few days: It is the pain of the site of the needle entry through the muscles of the back. It should go away relatively fast. However, if lasts longer than this you need to check with your doctor. Unusually some people have longer term local pain attributed to a rare event of possible nerve fibre injury from the needle track.
