Precaution and Peace: There is no known HIV risk from a bite if the skin is not broken. All documented cases where HIV was transmitted from a human bite (very rare) involved severe trauma, extensive damage, and lots of blood. That's the good news. The goal, then, is to reduce biting (behavior modification? http://www.drgreene.com/qa/hitting-and-biting), and to protect the skin (pants, long-sleeve shirts, even gloves?).
