I had a nurse say i had a fever. i was wondering if my thinking can cause the thing they use to determine if you have a fever can cause a fever when you don't have a fever ?

No: No, the thing they use to check for fever (called a thermometer) cannot cause a fever in you. So, whether you have a fever or not has nothing to do with the thing they used to measure you temperature.
