Be seen: Any pregnant woman concerned with preterm labor should be seen in labor and delivery. Back pain is the most common complaint in the third trimester of pregnancy. It is worth being placed on the monitor to rule out preterm contractions though.

Estrogen on ligament: A previous abdominoplasty usually includes tightening the right and left rectus abdominus muscles. With pregnancy these are more sturdy and less likely to stretch out as quickly as before surgery. But this does not explain the back pain as much as the effects of the high estrogen to weaken the pelvic ligaments as well as how the fetus is sitting in the pelvis. Stretch in the pool to decrease pain.

Not related: The tummy tuck and preterm labor are not likely related other than the sensations of increased tightness due to the muscle repair.
