??early childhood??: People are not born with rf but may develop it in early childhood. It is uncommon today but still does occur. If you did not develop valvular heart complications & do not have kidney or brain effects (movement disorder) by now, you can probably chalk this up as something you & your parents got through. You might discuss this with your pcp at your next encounter.
