R.I.C.E.: With a sports (or other muscle or bone injury), the best treatment is rest, ice, compression, elevation. With an ankle bruise/injury, stay off the injured limb. Compress it with a sport wrap (ace bandage). If your toes throb, it is too tight. Ice it and keep it elevated. If you are asking about wrapping so you can play or even walk on it, you should be seen by a sports or orthopedist professional.
