R/o lung blood clot: Awful? Ill? If short of breath, need ct chest to rule out blood clots in lungs.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. A positive D-dimer is not meaningful, a negative result is useful for ruling out blood clots. It would be prudent to see your doctor as an ED is meant to address acute issues, only.
