It will go away: Ulcerated lesions or mouth ulcers can occur after dental treatment. Have it checked out by the dentist first, they will heal spontaneously and there is no definitve treatment, there are many things that will make you more comfortable while they heal. Try a rinse or gel that contains a local anesthetic like Lidocaine or benzocaine.

Kind of ulcer?: Sometimes the stretching at the corners of the mouth can cause heretic lesions to form. If this is the type of ulcer, an antiviral such as zovirax (acyclovir) prior to the appointment can help prevent these lesions.
