Bill: The price seems high. A comprehensive exam at our office is $225 for a cash pay patient. They may have performed additional tests which could add to the bill.

See below: The eye exam for floaters can be a little "rough" because it includes scleral depression where the retina specialist presses on the sides of the eye while examining with a bright light. I've had this done to me too, so i know how it feels. When considering the cost, think how important it is for the doctor to know what they're doing, that they don't miss a retinal tear or tumor that needs help.
