Is there a way to get good dental insurance as retiree?

Location dependent: Dental insurance is going to depend on your location. For example in many metropolitan areas, there is so much competition that dental insurance plans can be as little as $135/yr and includes 2 cleanings/yr with a $20 copy. However elsewhere you might have to call individual insurance plans to get quotes. Just make sure you get an understanding different limitations each plan has.

Usually Not: Most good dental insurance policies are only available to moderate to large employers. Those available to individuals are usually not worth the premium. Individuals looking for single family/person coverage usually need treatment and get it. To keep insurance rates lower, larger groups have only some subscribers that use the insurance so the cost is shared by those that don't seek care.
