Any benefit from seeing pastor either for youself, or a loved one?

Depends: They are the most improtant lay therapists and helpers & do much good. There are pastors who are wise and decent people, experienced with life, patient and understanding, and ready to give you both good guidance and the gentle kick-in-the-rear that we all need sometimes. There are also pastors who tell people obvious untruths to make a living. Know who you are dealing with.

Love: Pastors can certainly be helpful expecially in providing spiritual guidance, like any other profession however there are competent and not so competent pastors. I have patiens who seek pastoral guidance adn are also in psychotherapy. Best.
