Range varies: This phrase, cosmetic dentistry, includes a wide range of treatments to improve the appearance of teeth. The simplest is whitening of the teeth and taking care not to risk the enamel by overdoing this. The other aspects may be veneers and caps. Then there may be orthodontia to change the alignment of the teeth. Dental implants can sometimes be considered cosmetic and are very expensive treatments.

Good question: This is such a difficult question because there are so many ways to do "cosmetic dentistry." i suggest you get multiple opinions and options. Then you can make a decision on what exactly is the treatment you want. Then you can isolate costs based on the treatment that's appropriate.

Cosmetic Dentistry: You first have to get a comprehensive dental examination, let your dentist know what kind of results you are looking for. He will let you know what is available and design a treatment plan that will achieve the results you are looking. After that he will be able to give you a total cost of your investment. Cost very from dentist to dentist and by the complexity of the treatment plan.

Sometimes...: Occasionally, dental benefit plans will cover cosmetic dentistry. If you have existing old fillings in your front teeth or functional issues, it can cover some cosmetic procedures. I have seen some plans even cover veneers, although a rare occurrence. Talk to your dentist to see what the recommended treatment is, and then talk with the benefit coordinator about documenting existing conditions.

Your expectations?: Compare this to buying a car. Depending on what you want, you can spend very little or a whole lot. Results vary highly in quality & durability. Be more concerned with quality than price. Determine with your provider what you need to be really happy with the end result long-term, and then figure out how to finance it comfortably (it may not be possible this month).

It varies: Depending upon how many teeth you want to treat, or how involved your case is, the cost can vary widely. It also depends on where you live. For example, a veneer for a single tooth can vary from $1500-$3, 000 and that depends on where your dentist practices, as well as how much experience they have already. You'll pay more for more experience.

It depends....: The cost will depend on the type and amount of treatment needed. The only way to find out is to go for a consultation. Wish i could be more specific.
