Same ways but harder: Hypothyroidism slows down metabolism and makes losing weight more difficult; however, the strategies are still the same. Ultimately decreasing calories in (food) and increasing calories out (exercise) will result in weight loss. Consider a support group or program to help keep you motivated as hypothyroidism can make it more difficult and at times you may feel discouraged. Talk to your doctor.
