A member asked:

What can be done for a suspected ovarian cyst?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ovarian cyst: Surgical intervention for premenopausal women with newly diagnosed asymptomatic, small simple ovarian cysts is not recommended. Surgery should be performed for diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cysts that are large, persistent, or symptomatic, and those with findings suspicious for malignancy.
