Very complicated: Every insurance plan makes up its own rules. You may be able to wait 6 months and then be covered. You may have to change plans. New health laws may make pre-existing condition exclusions illegal. If that passes in the country, in your state, or with your plan, then you may be in luck. This is a constantly frustrating issue, but you may have to play the game in order to have your procedure done.
