See ENT: Tinnitus in one ear, or that pulsates needs further work up. A hearing test is important to evaluate. Hearing aids, masking noise, and sometimes medication can help. Listening to mild music might help to relieve serious tinnitus. There are some new treatments that may be expensive, but may help if you are seriously irritated by tinnitus.
