DEPENDS: It really depends on a lot of factors. So not everyone that says that they are having suicidal thoughts will automatically get hospitalized. There are thoughts and then there is a distinct plan with the means to carry it out. If there is a plan or an inability to feel safe with oneself then the person should be hospitalized. Speak to your doctor and get help. Be safe!
