Therapy and meds: Parents need to learn how to get the attention of their child. Example: get eye to eye contact and then give your child the direction and have him repeat it. If the child truly has adhd then medications may be helpful. I have not found any alternative that really works.

Medication: Medications are #1 in managing adhd. Maintaining a strict daily routine, sleeping well, eating well, exercising, avoiding drugs and caffeine, & counseling may help, as might speech/language or pt therapy depending on deficiencies in each person. Knowing about adhd is very important. Understanding your condition is the basic first step to improving or conquering it. See my health files for more.
