Hiatus hernia.: I'm not completely sure what you mean, but you could be referring to a hiatus hernia, which is a condition where the upper part of the stomach protrudes into the chest through a tear or weakness in the diaphragm. This can cause shortness of breath, coughing, vomiting, and severe reflux. It often requires correction with surgery.
