A member asked:

Could a candida infection spread to your stomach?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Benign inside gut: The yeast involved with the candida infection is around us in nature, in the dust & we contaminate our gut with it routinely. It actually constitutes at least 5% of our poo. That it passes thru the stomach to get there is obvious. The gut lining is different that the outer skin & not susceptible to the same kind of surface infection.
