Could breast implants flare an already exsisting autoimmune disease?

No.: If you have a 'flare, " it isn't from breast implants (what causes "flares" in women who don't have implants?) any more than implants causing auto immune illnesses. Many studies have given conclusive evidence (despite all the media and "junk scientists") that implants do not cause or aggravate auto immune illness of any kind. Some doctors still don't believe the science, just like some patients.

No: Since there really is no good evidence that breast implants cause autoimmune disease in the first place it is hard to understand how they could cause a flare, .

Not proven : No although there are many rumors and anecdotal reports in the press, this has not been shown in many large studies conducted in respected .Academic centers.

No: Breast implants have no effect on your immune system and thus will neither cause nor exacerbate any autoimmune disease.

Unlikely: Many studies have been carried out since late 1990's about this topics, all showing no significant relation between breast implants and immune disorders. This is a field that has been very thoroughly investigated with confident evidence of no relation between implant and autoimmune problems.
