Check ingredients: Many cleansers may contain drying agents, such as benzoyl peroxide, which can dry your skin. Also, in some cases, skin can develop an allergic reaction against some chemicals (e.G, contact dermatitis) and cause redness, drying and peeling. So, the 1st step should be to check the ingredients. If the process continues, please see your dermatologist for further evaluation and/or treatment.

Dry skin& cleansers: Your skin may indeed be made dry from a new cleanser or some other skin care products. Common culprits include products w/ salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide and retin-a. These products can cause dryness, redness, peeling, etc. Discuss with your dermatologist or skin care professional to find a regimen that is right for you.
