Might be eczema: One's doctor can examine to see if the rash is dry skin eczema. Eczema can be treated by increasing the moisture in the skin by using creams such as CeraVe or Cetaphil. Many people use hydrocortisone cream twice a day for a week or so. However, if one's doctor suspects a fungal infection, antifungal cream such as Lotrimin is likely the treatment. If dry skin, avoid soaps or over-washing the skin.
