Seborrhea: It is probably seborrhea. You could try selsun blue on it (yes, the shampoo), or Hydrocortisone cream.

Scaly skin: Scaly skin is frequently a result of allergy. It's often just called dermatitis, or eczema, although there are much finer levels of these definitions. Do not us a drying soap when you see peeling. Put a dab of Hydrocortisone cream on it twice a day for 5 to 7 days. If it's not gone, or it keeps coming back after 1 or 2 courses of this, you should let your doctor get a look at you.

Seborrheic dermatiti: Wash face with anti-dandruff shampoo. Miconazole or Clotrimazole cream is otc generic costing about $4. Hydrocortisone cream will help but should not be used on the face longer than a few days. Protopic ointment & Elidel (pimecrolimus) cream are effective prescriptions. You are likely to have this in & around your ears. You are likely to have it on your scalp & maybe your eyebrows & navel, groin & under arms.
