Bladder symptoms: Bladder symptoms suggestive of a urinary tract infection are common even in the absence of such. Bladder irritation, overactive bladder, vaginal problems may present with signs and symptoms suggestive of a urinary tract infection. I usually avoid prescribing antibiotics in those cases until a documented infection is confirmed. Caffeine reduction is a must. Oxybutinin may work, Pyridium (phenazopyridine) is helpful.
