Yes, but: Yes, but 2 things 1) always check with OB doc before taking any prescribed medication and 2) if true abscess exists, excision and drainage likely needed. Best bet see oral surgeon, who is comfortable with pregnant patients.

Check all meds with your OB, but Penicillin is a good choice. Dental abscess is an infection that can harm both you and your baby. Penicillin will limit spread of infection, but tooth requires definitive treatment. Follow your Dentist's advice.
