Sounds like: A corn, cyst or enleargement of bone. Try to cushion with toe separator or sponge /rubber. This will keep toes from rubbing against each other. Shoe that do not squeeze toes together will also be helpful. See podiatrist for evaluation, diagnosis and treatment options.

Sounds like: An interdigital corn. Go to the podiatrist who can make sure thats what it is, and debride or trim it away for you. There are more permenant solutions like shaving the underlying bone casuing the problem. Or more conservatively, you can wear a silicone toe sleeve to avoid friction and protect the toe.
