Drainage from eye: The most likely cause of crusty drainage from infants eyes especially in the first few months of life is obstruction of nasolacrimal duct . It requires massaging the area beteween eye and nose . It usually gets better on its own. Rarely requires surgery. Other causes of eye crusting/discharge is pink eye (conjunctivitis).
