A member asked:

I gave birth 4 months ago and my hip and upper thigh are numb what is it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pinched nerve likely: There is a nerve that supplies sensation to the front of the thigh, that passes under a ligament in the groin. When there is swelling in this area, the skin of the anterior thigh can be numb. Called myalgia paresthetica. Swelling could easily occur after childbirth. Since this has gone on this long, i recommend seeing your doctor to be sure. Could also be a pinched nerve in your lower back.
