A member asked:

How accurate are tos tests? if you're told you have tos but surgery is not indicated but pain is nonstop and intense, could there be another reason?

Quite reliable: Tos can be neurogenic, vascular or a mix of the two. If angiography is done properly with position change included, should confirm or disconfirm vessel compression. Nerve compression can easily be confirmed with emg, if the brachial plexus is studied correctly, using the newest techniques, including root stimulation and macn studies. A few areas of expertise are available thruout the usa.
