After having mono, is your immune system going to be weak the rest of your life?

Mono: No. Mono doesn't weaken the immune system. The textbook states that one cannot come down with mononucleosis again but there are exceptions.

No: In fact, as you get infections, you build up antibodies.

No, however: 90-95% of adults have been infected with EBV, the virus that causes mono, but most don't get weak immune systems. Like all Herpes family viruses EBV lives in your body the rest of your life, but those with healthy immune systems keep it inactive so it doesn't cause symptoms. Those with weak immune systems (due to other infections, toxins, stress etc.) may have it reactivate but it's not the cause.
