Follow your surgeons: ....Advise. Your surgeon was the one present at the surgery and has been following your healing progress. Serous drainage can come from a healing wound. Follow their directions & instructions for the best results.

They are correct: It's not uncommon to have some drainage from certain surgical wounds in the first few weeks after surgery. If your surgeon has seen and examined you and says it's serous drainage then it's serous drainage and not infection. If there isn't surrounding redness or pain and the fluid is clear-yellowish then it's not likely infected and will dry up soon.
