Could a high ca125 be due to pelvic adhesions?

Not likely: Adhesions are mostly benign. They rarely cause pain and sometimes cause bowel obstructions. Elevated ca125 more likely to be from cancer.

No: Adhesions and ca-125 would be unrelated. An isolated elevation of ca-125 with no other clinical information or physical findings is of questionable importance. Would need to see a gynecologist for an evaluation.

No: Ca 125 has nothing to do with adhesions, as it is a cancer antigen and is secreted by the tumor. Adhesions are a benign condition that produces no ca125.
