Acronyms again: Tmi means what? Transient myocardial infarction? There are several possibilities which may explain the symptoms: hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, hypotension, cardiac arrhythmia, partial seizures, panic attacks. Obviously your husband needs to be evaluated by a neurologist as well as being re-evaluated by his cardiologist.

Bypass surgery: Is it possible that you mean "tia's" [transient ischemic attacks] rather than "tmi's" [too much information]? Changes in cognitive function can happen after bypass surgery, but what you're describing sounds more episodic -- tia's can be like this. Please contact your husband's cardiologist or primary care doctor, because he needs to be seen about these episodes. His meds need review also.
