Probably not thrush: Thrush usually appears on places other than the tongue: the palate, tonsils, and buccal mucosa (the inside of your cheeks). It's rarely found only on the tongue. Having a white coating on the tongue without other abnormalities is rarely thrush. If you're really concerned, you can see a doctor, but this doesn't sound like thrush to me based on your description.
