After GB surgery: After gallbladder surgery, there should be no dietary restrictions. It is usually recommended however to avoid particularly fatty or greasy foods for awile, as these may cause some temporary cramps and diarrhea. Symptoms of an unsuccessful surgery might include severe pain after eating, yellowing of the eyes or skin, dark urine or light stools, and fevers/chills.
