I wouldn't be worried about bright yellow urine, but would be very concerned about presence of brown urine and clay colored stools, indications of possible bile duct blockage. Nevertheless recurrence of that episode or on going discomfort should be reported to your surgeon.

Try not eating spicy food and if the symptoms persist see your surgeon. There is a possibility it was from spicy food.
