Yes: The body is remarkably capable of adapting to most changes imposed by surgery and gallbladder surgery is no exception. Most patients can gradually reintroduce fatty foods to their diet without specific consequence. A small number of patients may develop diarrhea, but even they adapt if given time without changing eating habits. The gallbladder is not needed for processing of spicy foods.
