Heel pain: After ruling out fracture, cyst, or tumor, most heel pain is caused by a ligament in yet bottom of the foot. Try over the counter arch supports such as super feet, soft sole, etc. And antiinflammatories. If pain persist see a podiatrist, who can guide you through the process to recovery.

Sounds like: Plantar fasciitis/heel spur syndrome. Try ice, supportive shoes, inserts and stretching exercises. If problem persists or if swelling develops, see podiatrist.
