Does exercise help depression and insomnia?

It often helps: Regular, moderate to intensive physical activities/exercise can help with symptoms of depression and may help insomnia if done earlier in the day. Properly done exercises promote general good physical and mental health. Interaction with other people and sun exposure tend to help depression and so it's encouraged to exercise regularly. At times, you may need therapy/meds too. Consult doc. Good luck.
