Not Likely: Many cases (not all) of back pain get better with rest and time. If you have a severe problem of a bulging or ruptured disc, you need the help of a doctor to guide your recovery. I call this expectation of better in 1 day the "dukes of hazzard" syndrome from the old tv show. They would launch their car airborne & crash hard to the ground, & then be fine right away. Your body needs time to heal.

Snake oil: That does not exist. Most back issues are self limiting but could take several weeks to resolve but you can try tylenol (acetaminophen) or anti inflammatories like ibuprophen or Naproxen if you have no Aspirin allergy or problems with your stomach and are not on any blood thinners.
