I got married one month back and my wife is diagnosed with tapeworm in left frontal lobe and doctor suggested to take levacetam 500mg twice a day for 2 years. wanted to check if medicine should be taken lifetime?

Levetiracetam: Is the drug to prevent seizures. In case she develops seizures she might need to stay on same longer, have dose adjusted or change the anti seizure medicine. If no seizures in 2 years, treatment may be stopped. Always talk to prescribing doc if goals for treatment are unclear.
