Be cautious: What you're describing can be an ovarian cyst that has ruptured and may have leaked a little bit of blood. Make sure your pregnancy test was negative to rule out a potential ectopic pregnancy. The shoulder pain is the irritation of the fluid or blood in the abdominal cavity that's reached the diaphragm which subsequently refers pain to the shoulder.
