Ovarian cyst:rupture: A ruptured ovarian cyst does not normally cause vaginal bleeding. Assuming the cyst was documented by ultrasound exam, and that serum HCG testing is negative for pregnancy, the bleeding may be coincident with the onset of your menses. See your gyn provider to make certain the latter is certain.
